Blackjack - Variations
As already mentioned, there are slight variations in playing blackjack depending on which online or real casino you decide to play in (usually each casino has is own rules). To help you, I list them below.
- Using different number of decks – As I said in the introduction, usually the number of decks used is six but even more or less decks can be used. Of course, the fewer the decks, the better for the players because the cards-counting turns easier.
- Allowing the dealer to hit a soft 17 – As I said previously, the dealer is allowed to hit if he has a soft 17
- Allowing re-splitting of Aces – If a player holds two Aces, he’s usually allowed to split only once. However in some casinos the re-splitting is allowed if a player will get two Aces again.
- Allowing a double down only on 10 or 11 – In some casinos, a double down is allowed only if a player has or 10 or 11
